An enchanting, historic, double-fronted stone cottage,
dating back to 1625. Northfield Cottage is steeped in the
history and romantic past of pirates, smugglers and Falmouth’s
colourful maritime heritage. Located right in the heart of
the old town of Falmouth, the cottage is just yards from the
new National Maritime Museum, the harbourside and the water’s
edge, and yet it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle
in a charming narrow cul-de-sac. |

This is a well-equipped property with a small
fitted kitchen, gas central heating, electric oven/ceramic
hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and TV/Video.
It is fully carpeted.

The lounge and dining room are both spacious, and provide
seating for 6 people. There is sufficient space for a child
to sleep on a client-owned travel/inflatable bed. |
There is a small, enclosed paved and walled
courtyard garden to the rear and a walled cottage garden to
the front with mature trees & shrubs, and lawn. Garden
furniture is provided (seating 6).

The property is located right in the centre
of Falmouth with its harbour, quays, cobbled streets, restaurants,
centuries-old inns and varied shops ranging from art &
craft galleries to fish merchants, and from trendy boutiques
to second-hand booksellers – all within minutes from
the front door. Gyllyngvase, Castle & Tunnel beaches
are approximately half a mile away. Local buses and ferries
to Truro, St Mawes, Flushing and the Helford River are a
few minutes walk away as is the railway station (Falmouth-Truro
branch line). Swanpool beach is about 1 mile away and Maenporth
beach is 2-3miles away.

An additional charge of £25 per week is payable
for each child sleeping on client-owned travel/inflatable
beds.
Reasonable amounts of gas, electricity and water are included
in the rental price.
Security deposit: £75
We regret that smoking and pets are not allowed inside the
property or within the grounds of the property.
Duvets and pillows are provided for each bed. Clients should
bring their own linen, including hand towels and tea towels.
Clients bringing an inflatable bed(s) should bring their own
bedding for these beds (pillows, duvet/sleeping bag, etc).
There is no cot, high chair or fold-away bed.
